Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Credit Risk Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk Management team. This pivotal role involves offering expert insights, constructive challenges, and robust oversight concerning credit risk management practices. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and executing the organization's credit risk management framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing risk identification processes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and independent analyses of credit risk, providing ongoing assessments to support risk management initiatives.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of underwriting criteria, including policies and procedures, and assess the effectiveness of credit and portfolio management processes.
  • Review key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) at both business unit and enterprise levels, generating comprehensive risk monitoring reports for senior management.
  • Monitor and assess the necessity for new key risk indicators in response to changes in business operations.
  • Assist business units in identifying and implementing new KRIs and KPIs, ensuring appropriate risk metrics are defined.
  • Analyze internal and external reports for potential risk issues, utilizing the organization's risk framework.
  • Leverage data to synthesize and aggregate credit risk information, enhancing reporting systems for timely risk monitoring.
  • Facilitate the resolution of credit-related issues identified by internal reviews or external audits.
  • Engage in ad-hoc risk management projects as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of direct experience in credit risk management or related fields, including regulatory agencies or financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, capable of managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration and relationship-building.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards for financial institutions.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues within risk management processes.
  • Strong organizational skills, adept at managing various deliverables and implementing process improvements.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to expand knowledge and skills to contribute to the Enterprise Risk Management department.
