Overview

We are currently looking for a Risk Governance and Strategy Manager within the Second Line of Defense (2LOD) Risk Department. This position will be tasked with overseeing the Bank's policy and committee charter framework, coordinating risk reporting, managing departmental policies and procedures, and further developing enterprise-wide governance processes. Additionally, this role will provide consultative support to the first and second lines of defense, prepare risk presentations or informational reports for business unit leaders, executive management, and the Board of Directors, and assist in the creation of organization-wide policies related to risk governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and enhancing the organization-wide policy governance program, including maintaining the policy inventory and implementing improved policy management lifecycle requirements.
  • Overseeing and enhancing the organization-wide committee governance program, including maintaining committee charters and implementing improved committee management program requirements.
  • Conducting credible challenges and/or quality control reviews on sampled governance documents.
  • Coordinating management, executive, and board-level risk committee reporting packages.
  • Monitoring departmental progress against the implementation of the target operating model and collaborating across teams to identify execution risks and potential solutions.
  • Executing ad-hoc risk management projects as requested by the Director of Risk Governance and Strategy.
Qualifications
  • Over 8 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, external audit, or risk management consulting.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business or Finance.
  • Proven ability to adapt and effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to think broadly, generate innovative ideas, and translate strategy into execution.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to make informed risk/reward decisions based on a balance of data, logic, and intuition.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow analysis.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple deliverables and identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proficient in MS Office Software Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $165,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
