Position Overview

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for gathering precise demographic, financial, and clinical data to establish comprehensive medical and financial records. This role involves applying financial criteria to ascertain and collect patient responsibilities. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently and accurately registers patients to maintain database integrity and facilitate the claims process.
  • Implements financial screening protocols to ensure adherence to procedures for upfront collections at the designated facility.

  • Undertakes other duties as required, including health screenings.
Qualifications and Experience

Education

Preferred: Associate's degree or completion of two years of college coursework.

Minimum: Proficient in clear and effective communication in standard English, both written and verbal, to ensure high productivity and efficiency. Ability to write legibly and accurately record information as needed for job functions.

Experience

Preferred: One year of experience in a business role within a healthcare setting.

Minimum: One year of general business experience.

Licensure and Certification

Preferred: Certification as a Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).

Essential Skills

Minimum: Basic computer proficiency, capability to perform fundamental mathematical calculations. Typing speed of 25 words per minute. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Clear articulation and understanding in spoken interactions.
