Job Summary:

OSF HealthCare is seeking a skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience.
  • Work in both clinical and front office functions of the practice, providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of healthcare and patient care support activities.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.

Requirements:

  • High school or GED equivalent education.
  • Minimum of six months experience with computer, Microsoft Office, and email.
  • Minimum of 6 months healthcare facility clinical experience or clinical education (including enrollment or completion of OSF MSS MOA Bridge Program).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months experience with an electronic health record.
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Licensure/Certifications - BLS.
