Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified ECE Afternoon Infant Caregiver to join our team at the YMCA of Snohomish County. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will be responsible for providing direct supervision and care to a group of infants in a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and care for infants, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Implement daily lesson and activity plans to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Comply with state and local regulations, as well as YMCA standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to program standards.
  • Attend and participate in family events, program activities, and staff meetings as directed.
  • Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.
  • Build positive relationships with participants, parents, and other staff.
  • Diapering and toilet training for infants, including assisting with changing soiled clothing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum age 18.
  • Meet educational and experience qualifications established by the Department of Child Youth and Families (DCYF), including ECE college certificates/courses within 5 years of position or as designated by the DCYF.
  • Provide documentation of all certification and training requirements established by DCYF, including position prerequisites, current negative TB test, MMR vaccine or proof of immunity, and portable background check.
  • Fluency in a second language desired.
