Job Title: Fitness Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Director to lead our personal training department at Emerald City Athletics - Columbia City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our personal training department, driving exceptional client results and experiences, and promoting health, hope, and transformation in the greater Seattle area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Production: Achieve personal production goals through direct involvement in client appointments and effective leadership of the personal training team.
  2. Trainer Development: Actively train and develop trainers to enhance their sales effectiveness and professional growth, ensuring they meet and exceed operational and financial objectives.
  3. Program Maintenance: Maintain and enforce high standards for our one-on-one personal training programs, ensuring they align with our goals and meet client expectations.
  4. Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and lead a team of personal trainers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and development.
  5. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to meet and exceed operational and financial objectives, including monitoring the impact of marketing programs and special promotions on PT services.
  6. Communication: Lead weekly team meetings to foster a unified direction and open communication, ensuring all team members are aligned and working towards common goals.
  7. Facility Maintenance: Ensure all club facilities are clean, organized, and maintained to the highest standards, providing a positive and safe environment for clients and staff.

Requirements:

  1. Self-Starter: Demonstrate a proven ability to initiate and drive improvements independently, with a strong background in successfully managing and developing PT departments and teams.
  2. Leadership Experience: Possess robust leadership skills with a track record of building high-performance teams, and recognized certification in personal training (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM).
  3. Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Extensive Leadership Experience: Possess extensive leadership experience in the fitness industry, with a proven track record of driving results and growth.
  2. Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field, with proficiency in fitness industry software and technology.

Work Environment:

This role demands a dynamic, fast-paced gym atmosphere where flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends is essential. Your leadership will be characterized by a relentless drive to excel, effective problem-solving, and a strong ability to self-generate and close sales.
