Job Title: Fitness Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Director to lead our personal training department at Emerald City Athletics- Wallingford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, driving exceptional client results and experiences, and promoting health, hope, and transformation in the greater Seattle area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Production: Achieve personal production goals primarily through direct involvement in client appointments.
  2. Trainer Development: Actively train and develop trainers to enhance their sales effectiveness and professional growth.
  3. Program Maintenance: Maintain and enforce high standards for our one-on-one personal training programs.
  4. Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and lead a team of personal trainers, ensuring their success and development aligned with our goals.
  5. Strategic Planning: Develop strategic plans to meet and exceed the operational and financial objectives of the club.
  6. Team Meetings: Lead weekly team meetings to foster a unified direction and open communication.
  7. Trainer Development: Elevate personal trainers' skills to boost PT department revenue and member satisfaction.
  8. Facility Maintenance: Ensure all club facilities are clean, organized, and maintained to the highest standards.
  9. Marketing Analysis: Monitor the impact of marketing programs and special promotions on PT services and adjust strategies as needed.
  10. Training and Motivation: Implement necessary training and motivational tactics to achieve desired team performance.

Work Environment:

This role demands a dynamic, fast-paced gym atmosphere where flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends is essential. Your leadership will be characterized by a relentless drive to excel, effective problem-solving, and a strong ability to self-generate and close sales. A high level of empathy, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to engage in strategic prospecting are all crucial.

Requirements:

  1. Self-Starter: A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to initiate and drive improvements independently.
  2. Personal Training Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a personal trainer with a strong background in successfully managing and developing PT departments and teams.
  3. Leadership Skills: Robust leadership skills with a track record of building high-performance teams.
  4. Certifications: Recognized certification in personal training (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM).
  5. CPR/AED Certification: CPR/AED certification.
  6. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Leadership Experience: Extensive leadership experience in the fitness industry.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
  3. Software Proficiency: Proficiency with fitness industry software and technology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $80,397.00 per year
