Job Summary

The Echo Technologist PRN is responsible for performing non-invasive cardiovascular procedures, including adult echocardiography, TEEs, and pharmacologic/exercise cardiac stress testing. This role requires collaboration with healthcare team members to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and indirect patient care, including diagnostic tests for adult echocardiogram, TEEs, and pharmacologic/exercise cardiac stress testing.
  • Maintain professional standards and seek professional growth.
  • Provide care to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatrics.
  • Reflect the company's values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct.
  • Execute SDH Service Excellence standards in every interaction.
  • Participate in providing continuous echocardiography service by taking call, responding to pages within 10 minutes, and arriving within 30 minutes of STAT notification.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Participate in unit activities and meet educational requirements.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree
  • Successful completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program
  • One year minimum experience as a Sonographer or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing all aspects of adult/pediatric echocardiography procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to precept new employees and employees not meeting expectations
