Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Echo Vascular Technologist to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiovascular department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive cardiovascular procedures, including echocardiography and vascular studies.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize open, professional communication to interact with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members.
  • Perform necessary equipment checks and QC procedures, and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Maintain adequate supply of materials for vascular lab.
  • Attend required staff meetings and conferences.
  • Review performance and ensure compliance with accreditation, legal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a clinical resource role model for staff and physicians.
  • Coordinate orientation for new staff and techs.
  • Coordinate daily assignments and procedures to ensure optimal operations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to staff related to job performance.
  • Manage projects and perform additional assignments as requested.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or certificate of completion from an accredited school of Echo Ultrasound.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Echo Ultrasound.
  • Experience with Pedi/Adult echo and vascular studies.
  • Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Current Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
