Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology Technologist to work in our Cath Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and therapeutic care to patients, performing psychosocial and physiologic assessments, and tailoring caring practices to individual needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cath Lab, preparing the sterile field, selecting and preparing instruments and supplies, and administering medications as directed.
  • Calibrates, operates, and troubleshoots a wide variety of equipment and instruments on a daily basis, maintaining quality assurance records as required.
  • Selects appropriate instruments and supplies based on patient presentation during procedures.
  • Delegates patient care activities to other healthcare team members and participates in making and revising staff assignments.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and/or Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
  • One to three years of experience in interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab performing Cardio Invasive Specialist duties or equivalent years of experience as a nurse working in a critical care hospital unit.
  • BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, Registered in one of the following: RCIS, RTR VI, RTR CV, RTR CI, unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. If doesn't possess one of the above registries, must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
