Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist will provide high-quality imaging services using various modalities, including neurovascular and endovascular angiography examinations. The successful candidate will collaborate with teams to collect data pre/post-procedure and prepare patients for procedures in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR).

Responsibilities
  • Assist RNs in explaining procedures to patients and families to ease anxiety.
  • Troubleshoot equipment effectively and place service calls to Biomedical when necessary.
  • Anticipate procedure flow and work with other team members to produce the highest quality care.
  • Provide a safe environment and identify hazards immediately. Follow unit protocols to take corrective actions as needed.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in imaging modalities in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology such as digital, laser printing, and cut film.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography; Associate or higher degree preferred.
  • ARRT registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional(CI) required.
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
