Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology Technologist to work in our Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing Cardio Invasive Specialist duties and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provides safe and therapeutic care to patients in a holistic and caring way.
- Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments and tailors caring practices to individual needs.
- Assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cath lab.
- Administers medications, including moderate sedation, as directed by the physician.
- Calibrates, operates, and troubleshoots a wide variety of equipment and instruments.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and/or Graduate of an accredited, school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
- One – three years of experience in interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab performing Cardio Invasive Specialist duties or equivalent years of experience as a nurse working in a critical care hospital unit.
- BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, Registered in one of the following: RCIS, RTR VI, RTR CV, RTR CI, unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. If doesn't possess one of the above registries, must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
