Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team. This key leadership role will be instrumental in supporting our strategic growth initiatives and advancing our mission services. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors to drive growth, oversee capital investments, and manage financial reporting.
Responsibilities- Establish strong relationships with division leaders, front-line staff, the Executive team, the Board, and key external stakeholders.
- Provide leadership in managing complex strategic transitions such as mergers, acquisitions, lending agreements, strategic alliances, and divestitures.
- Directly manage the Controller and oversee the broader accounting and finance teams.
- Create an organization and staffing plan to support significant, ongoing growth across diverse business and mission segments.
- Attract, develop, and retain talent to build a strong financial infrastructure.
- Manage the short and long-term capital structure to finance the company's strategy, sustain growth, raise debt and equity financing, and monitor the company's cost of capital.
- Oversee the company's cash and liquidity concerning short and long-term working capital requirements and invest excess cash.
- Ensure operational excellence in financial systems and reporting.
- Translate long-term strategies into actionable, motivating, and measurable goals.
- Engage in strategic planning, growth initiatives, and financial forecasting.
- Identify, mitigate, and monitor hazard and business risks, integrating risk mitigation processes into line management.
- Bachelor's Degree
- CPA or equivalent; CMA preferred. Neither is required to be current.
- 15 – 20 years of experience in Accounting with progressively more complex management, including experience as a CFO
- Experience working in organizations between 50 - 100 million plus annual gross revenue with a minimum of 500 employees
- Experience working with an accounting staff of around 20 employees
- Experience working across multiple industries and in financially complex organizations
