POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist plays a crucial role in evaluating business performance, constructing financial models, and aiding in both operational and strategic decision-making processes. Key responsibilities encompass modeling, developing presentations, performing monthly variance assessments, and conducting various financial analyses. Strong communication, modeling capabilities, business insight, and analytical skills are vital for success in this role. The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist will work closely with colleagues in the FP&A team and the corporate accounting division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and sustain complex financial models for forecasting and strategic decision-making
  • Execute in-depth financial analysis on organizational performance
  • Assist in creating presentations for executive leadership
  • Review monthly financial entries
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Distill financial data into actionable insights
  • Complete reporting for banks and investors
  • Share effective practices with team members
  • Support analysis of sales pipelines
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for financial data
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Master's degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years of financial experience, ideally in FP&A
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and accounting software is advantageous
  • Ability to manage projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
