FP&A Analyst Job Description

Cotton Holdings, Inc. is a diversified holding company seeking a highly skilled FP&A Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the finance department, this individual will play a critical role in supporting the company's strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain reporting models, budgeting and forecasting tools, and scenario-based modeling to support financial reporting, business planning, and decision-making.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, delivering tasks communicated by senior management.
  • Assist with strategic reporting and compliance objectives, preparing consolidated financial statements, and tracking corporate matters and divisional information.
  • Perform financial analysis and complete analytical reviews of financial statements and business drivers on a monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date basis.
  • Maintain budgeting and forecasting calendars, creating sub-schedules for budgets and forecasts, and their corresponding reports.
  • Own specific reporting and financial models focused on key segment-level financial and operational metrics.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on key performance drivers.
  • Manage the creation of pro forma models for new business opportunities.
  • Follow through with business strategies and manager requests, ensuring the implementation and use of communicated company strategies, targets, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Review and refine monthly MD&A footnotes for the month-end closing process and provide divisional analytics to multiple entities.
  • Analyze, develop, and implement new and enhanced reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes and tools to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related major or equivalent professional experience.
  • Working towards CPA/CFA certification.
  • Minimum 2-7 years of FP&A analysis experience.
  • Advanced financial modeling in Excel/forecasting capabilities.
  • Experience with Workday/Adaptive.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to produce high-quality results.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and team management.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • ERP experience preferred.
  • Coding experience (SQL, Python).
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Power BI, DAX queries, Power Query, and Pivot Tables.
