Position Overview:

This role involves skilled maintenance and repair of wind turbine systems, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on wind turbine systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Identify and report wind turbine error codes effectively.
  • Assist in the removal and installation of turbine components.
  • Support heavy equipment rigging and operation.
  • Collaborate closely with team leaders.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on turbine controllers.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reports, including computer entries.
  • Assist in high-voltage system maintenance.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
  • Maintain company tools and vehicles responsibly.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma is required.
  • Preferred knowledge in Technical Trades, Maintenance, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Operations.
  • Certificates or an Associate's degree in Wind Turbine Technology are advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
  • Experience with GE 1.5, Vestas V-80, or Siemens 2.3 turbines is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GE, Vestas, or Siemens SCADA systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
  • Proficient in writing reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks effectively.
  • Capability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work independently with clear instructions.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in mechanical and electrical environments.
  • Relevant experience or equivalent skill level is required.
  • Completion of all necessary training and skill assessments is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical testing equipment and torque specifications.
Licenses:
  • Valid driver's license is required.
Physical Requirements:

The role involves various physical demands and environmental conditions, including:
  • Regular exposure to mechanical parts, heights, and outdoor weather.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
  • Capability to climb and work at heights exceeding 250 feet.
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
