The Microsoft Federal division was created to cater to the distinct mission, legal, regulatory requirements, and procurement protocols of the United States Government (USG). We are dedicated to ensuring that our resources—including qualified, experienced, and certified personnel with necessary security clearances—are available to meet the evolving needs of the USG. To achieve this, we prioritize flexibility in recruiting, hiring, and assigning Microsoft Federal personnel to various roles throughout their careers, regardless of the segment—Civilian, Defense, or Intelligence Community.

Essential Qualifications

  • 13+ years of experience in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education, Technology) and/or leading digital transformation initiatives.
    • OR a Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
    • OR a Master's Degree with 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • 6+ years of experience providing recommendations to and collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives.
  • 8+ years of experience in closing substantial, complex agreements.
  • Experience working with mission owners/operators within the Intelligence Community.

Additional Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph. Meeting Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is mandatory for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance may lead to employment consequences.

Verification Requirements

  • This position necessitates successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements.
  • Cloud Screening: This role requires passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to legal restrictions related to citizenship. This role supports U.S. federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to specific citizenship-based restrictions as permitted by applicable law.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving digital transformation initiatives within the Intelligence Community.
  • Experience collaborating with the mission side of the Intelligence Community.

Compensation

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,000 - $217,600 per year, with variations applicable to specific work locations.

Account Strategic Programs Management

• Develops and implements strategies to achieve objectives for assigned customers, ensuring Microsoft and partner sales targets are met. Responsible for generating qualified leads and creating high-value revenue opportunities while establishing long-term customer success.

  • Orchestrates the execution of strategies for assigned accounts to ensure engagements result in high-volume sales, driving plans to enhance revenue potential and uncover new opportunities for Microsoft and its partners.
  • Expands a strategic network of key internal and external partners and decision-makers to ensure effective execution of core tasks and account transactions.
  • Leads collaborative efforts with internal and external partners, including industry-specific partners, to develop and promote tailored account plans that enhance sales and partner impact.
  • Solicits feedback on additional needs and features to develop targeted strategies for customers, demonstrating an understanding of their business models to identify growth opportunities.
