Job Title: Audio Video Installation Technician

At Lightman Technology, we are seeking a skilled Audio Video Installation Technician to join our team. As an AV Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the professional installation, setup, and maintenance of audio and video equipment in various environments, including residential, commercial, and corporate settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Setup: Install and configure audio and video equipment, including speakers, projectors, screens, and control systems, ensuring proper functionality and alignment with client specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AV systems, diagnosing and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their needs, offer recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with the final installation. Provide clear explanations of system operation and maintenance.
  • System Integration: Integrate AV equipment with existing systems and networks, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, modifications, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and management.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines during installations and service calls. Ensure all work is performed to the highest safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or GED, Technical Training or Associate's Degree in fields related to electronics, audiovisual technology, or a related area. Industry certifications such as CEDIA, AVIXA, BICSI, and CTS are preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in AV installation or a related field, such as electronics or IT support, is often preferred. On-the-job training and practical experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV systems are essential.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of AV equipment, wiring and cabling, system integration, and technical support. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Soft Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving, attention to detail, and physical fitness to lift and carry equipment.
