Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing and Planning Assistant to support our Purchasing and Planning teams at Wipaire Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inventory Management: Evaluate office supplies and lunchroom inventory, and place orders when necessary.
  2. Supply Chain Coordination: Order shop supplies from PO Suggestions, and enter and follow up on transfer orders.
  3. Purchase Order Management: Expedite purchase orders and manufacturing jobs, and input work instruction updates.
  4. MRP and DDMRP Management: Review system suggestions and create MRP and DDMRP jobs to match organizational demand.
  5. Job Maintenance: Maintain jobs based on planning workbench suggestions and organizational demand.
  6. Supplier Management: Maintain the Approved Suppliers List by tracking approval expiration dates, obtaining completed surveys, and copies of vendor ISO certifications. Update Epicor when completed.
  7. Lead Time Management: Maintain product lead time in Epicor to ensure delivery expectations are met.
  8. Price File Management: Maintain Price File in Epicor with updated pricing and expiration dates.
  9. Production Job Allocation: Assist with allocation and releasing of production jobs.
  10. Computer System Management: Use computer and computer systems to set up functions, enter data or process information.
Requirements
  • Education: Two-year degree in Business or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Experience in Purchasing and/or Planning in Manufacturing preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Experience using Epicor or ERP system strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Purchasing and Planning policies and procedures, and computerized information systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to respond promptly and thoroughly to inquiries, and ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate and manage own work load independently.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, perform long hours of work sitting at a computer, and move around the office and shop areas repeatedly throughout the day.
