About the Job

This contract position offers 13 weeks of employment with the potential for extension. You will be working 4x10 hour shifts, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. The pay package includes a tax-free stipend amount to be determined, based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional efficiency, attention to detail, and strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety. Compassion and sensitivity are essential qualities for this role, as well as the ability to think critically and act quickly in emergency situations.

Responsibilities
  • Observe cardiac rhythms of patients on monitor.
  • Run and post rhythm strips at designated intervals.
  • Interpret rhythms and validate computer readouts.
  • Check and verify lead placement on patients.
  • Compare posted strips to previous strips and notify nursing staff of changes.
  • Notify nursing staff of any change in cardiac rhythm.
  • Test equipment for proper working order.
  • Maintain work area clean and orderly.
Requirements
  • Proven 2 years of experience as an EKG Technologist.
  • Must possess independent decision-making skills.
  • Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Capable of maintaining regular attendance.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This estimate is based on national averages and may vary. We also provide health insurance coverage, 401K matching, new licensing reimbursement, and job staffing in all 50 states.
