Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective care to patients in our outpatient ambulatory care teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients from newborn to elderly, addressing their acute and chronic needs.
  • Perform annual physical exams and manage the health maintenance needs of our family medicine population.
  • Utilize asynchronous care through inbasket management to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Independently perform routine clinical procedures, including wart removal, pap smears, IUD removal, IUD/Nexplanon placement, and skin lesion removals.
  • Complete minimal inbasket work to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program (for Nurse Practitioners) or Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program (for Physician Assistants).
  • Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience.
  • State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure, as well as active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice.
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (for Nurse Practitioners) or active PA board certification (for Physician Assistants).
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
