Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Product Manager to lead our enterprise analytics efforts. This is a key position that will collaborate closely with Analytics team members and other business stakeholders to translate enterprise-wide stakeholder needs into technical data, reporting, and analytics requirements. The successful candidate will work across technology teams to facilitate the development of internal-facing data products or capabilities, including building basic reporting, diving into strategic analyses, or iterating on complex data science models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain the Analytics Roadmap

The Data Product Manager will articulate vision, roadmap, and technical requirements for data and analytics capabilities, processes, and tools to enable prioritized use cases across the enterprise. This includes developing and maintaining the roadmap for a key pillar of the CDO Organization data roadmap, scoping, and prioritizing activities based on business and user impact.

Gain End-User Insights and Identify Product Gaps

The successful candidate will gain a deep understanding of end-user needs and experience (internal data consumers), identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow adoption and improve user experience.

Define Requirements for Data Technology Teams

The Data Product Manager will define requirements for the Data Technology team on data processing and storage to facilitate a variety of analytics use cases, such as effective analysis and reporting, data science exploration, and model development, and data quality and anomaly detection.

Set and Achieve Success Metrics

The candidate will set and achieve success metrics to meaningfully improve business results, focusing on what success looks like for our internal data consumers and how accessible data and insights could help them deliver enterprise value.

Act as a Product Evangelist

The Data Product Manager will act as a product evangelist to build awareness, understanding, adoption, and buy-in.

Support Risk Management and Data Governance

The successful candidate will support the company's commitment to risk management and protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data, overseeing the integration of strong data governance, risk, and security controls.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a STEM or related field and 9+ years of experience in product management, data management, or consulting with a proven record of high performance.

Technical Skills

The Data Product Manager should have strong business intuition and the technical ability to understand, design, and explain complex product and data strategies to both business and technical audiences. They should also have proficiency with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams and Agile tools like Jira.

Soft Skills

The successful candidate should have excellent communications skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams with diverse skill sets across all levels of the organization.

Additional Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in a STEM or related field, a deep understanding of foundational data and analytics concepts, and hands-on experience with Python or R.

Benefits and Compensation

The salary for this position is $145,000 - $165,000 per year, depending on the location. In addition to the salary, the candidate will be eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including competitive medical, dental, and vision plans, a 401(k) retirement plan with a 100% company safe harbor match, and paid time off.
