Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead our Data Foundry team at Capital One. As a key member of our product management team, you will be responsible for defining, operationalizing, and scaling our most important data products, including credit bureau data.

You will work closely with a large and engaged internal customer base, understanding their needs and collaborating with data analysts, engineers, data scientists, and other cross-functional teams to create integrated roadmaps, prioritize development, and deliver world-class data product experiences that customers trust and associates love to use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the definition, design, and operationalization of data products that maximize leverage for the business and serve the needs of internal and external customers
  • Own and prioritize the long-term (12-18mo) month roadmap for your product, working with a cross-functional stakeholder group balancing priorities based on impact and risk to drive winning customer outcomes
  • Immerse yourself in understanding your customer(s) by employing empathy and design thinking to build a customer-backed product roadmap that drives business value
  • Partner closely with technology and data experts to design robust solutions, shaping the business capabilities and associated architecture necessary to drive the broader product agenda

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital product management
  • Strong data analysis skills (e.g., SQL, Python, R) along with an understanding of technical patterns used to consume and process data at scale (e.g., GraphQL, Spark)
  • Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills
  • Thrive at the intersection of data and business strategy - able to understand complex business intent and translate strategy into data requirements that promote consistent, reusable, and interoperable data consumption
