Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of accounts flagged by the internal compliance team, state regulators, or customer complaints.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all communications within our internal CRM systems, financial transaction records, and any relevant data needed to address compliance issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Compliance team to gather documentation, audit accounts, and streamline communication processes for timely resolutions with state regulators.
- Assist in reviewing and disseminating regulatory requirements pertaining to sports wagering across various jurisdictions to relevant departments.
- Work collaboratively across departments, managing multiple priorities effectively on a daily and weekly basis.
- Support the development of training and coaching initiatives aimed at minimizing customer complaints.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Customer Service department regarding compliance-related matters.
- Act as a communication link between the Customer Service and Compliance departments to ensure prompt and accurate responses.
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as directed by the Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.
Essential Functions
- Ability to sit or stand and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Experience in online or land-based casino/sports wagering preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in a compliance or quality assurance role preferred.
- Proven analytical skills with experience in data gathering and analysis.
- Familiarity with reviewing, researching, and interpreting regulations.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Experience in internal control, internal audit, or compliance is a plus.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Professional demeanor, integrity, and reliability.
- Customer service experience is beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation
The hourly salary range for this position is $24.04 to $31.55, influenced by factors such as geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This role is also eligible for a performance-based bonus plan.
Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements
As an online gaming entity, BetMGM must adhere to state gaming regulations, including licensing obligations. Employees in applicable roles must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, with some positions requiring multiple licenses. Non-compliance with licensing requirements may lead to termination. The licensing process involves comprehensive background checks, including criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.
