Position Overview:
A Senior Logistics Analyst employs analytical techniques and various tools to assess, forecast, enhance, and manage logistics operations and workflows. This role is accountable for data oversight, performance analysis, problem identification, and formulating recommendations that align with logistics management objectives. The analyst resolves issues by evaluating potential actions within the context of business targets and standards. Operates with a degree of autonomy and, once provided with general assignments, prioritizes and executes tasks effectively. Communicates insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Mentors and supports Logistics Analysts in their daily responsibilities.

Ideal candidates should be proactive, detail-oriented, capable of managing and leading multiple projects, possess exceptional communication abilities, collaborate well within a team, engage with various levels and functions within the logistics framework, and adeptly manage vendor and business relationships.

- Coordinate daily project activities for multiple large-scale initiatives such as Supply Chain Synchronization, Manual Floor Load, and Breakpack Enhancement Implementation.

- Develop and implement scorecards for projects and key organizational metrics to assess performance against business objectives.

- Conduct forecasting, and identify and implement process improvement opportunities related to assigned projects. - Perform analyses to support requested business and systemic enhancements that will yield cost savings for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
25% Utilize quantitative skills to generate and analyze reports that support business operations. Assist the organization through ad-hoc inquiries and maintain reports tailored to departmental or organizational requirements.

25% Create business tools and solutions leveraging knowledge, products, or technology. Identify opportunities for logistics process enhancements through strategic and critical thinking.

20% Provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Mentor and guide Logistics Analysts.


20% Manage data through mining, modeling, analysis, cost/benefit assessments, process mapping, and problem analysis while executing daily responsibilities related to the area of focus.

Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and financial models. Support the organization through ad-hoc inquiries and maintain reports.

10% Oversee vendor and business partner relationships.

Direct Reports:
This position reports to a Senior Manager.

This position has no direct reports.

Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel of less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent in a comfortable seated position with frequent opportunities to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to lift or move light items.

Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor environment. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and manageable.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least eighteen years of age.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or Finance. Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.

Proficient in:
Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Visio.

Advanced Skills in:
Mini-Tab, Access, SQL, Visual Basic for Data Acquisition and Analysis, Visio for Process Mapping.

Project Management Skills.

Finance/CBA/Capital Budget Experience.

Minimum Education:


The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent in a relevant field.
