Warranty Clerk Job Description

Magneto and Diesel Distributors (M&D) is a leading aftermarket remanufacturer with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking a skilled Warranty Clerk to join our team.

Job Summary

The Warranty Clerk will be responsible for assisting with all warranty filing issues, including monitoring, tracking, and facilitating the timely processing of warranty claims for both internally produced and externally purchased products. The successful candidate will also be responsible for interfacing with customers, providing return documents, and making shipping arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track warranty claims to ensure timely processing
  • Interface with customers to resolve warranty-related issues
  • Prepare and process warranty claims, including return documents and shipping arrangements
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve warranty-related issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • 2 years of prior warranty administration experience
  • Experience with diagnostic and repair of internal combustion engines
  • Excellent PC skills and customer service skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening
Work Environment

The Warranty Clerk will work in a fast-paced office environment with occasional visits to the shop and warehouse. The successful candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of environments, including loud noises, extreme temperatures, and dusty conditions.
