Position Overview
The LPN II role is designed for skilled nursing professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality care in a pediatric gastroenterology setting. This position requires adherence to legal and professional standards while providing care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Physician, or Advanced Practice Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with established protocols and organizational policies.
- Conduct patient assessments, including obtaining vital signs and documenting patient information accurately.
- Assist in the implementation of care plans and therapeutic interventions for pediatric patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED, along with completion of a minimum one-year vocational/technical training program in nursing.
Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience is required.
Skills: Proficient in technical nursing functions, with strong communication abilities and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Licenses and Certifications
Must possess a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license and Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
Work Environment
This position is based in a pediatric healthcare setting, focusing on the well-being of children and their families. The LPN II will work collaboratively with a healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
