Job Summary:
Western Alliance Bank is seeking a skilled Portfolio Manager to join our Asset Based Lending (ABL) division. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, structuring, and managing a portfolio of ABL credit facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in business development activities and identify new business opportunities.
  • Obtain due diligence information and review financial condition and risk of financing requests.
  • Perform pre-qualification assessments and complete credit recommendation underwriting packages.
  • Coordinate loan processing and ensure compliance with Bank lending policies.
  • Effectively manage a portfolio of ABL credit facilities and lead monthly portfolio reviews.
  • Coach and mentor credit analysts and collateral specialists.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and three (3) or more years of related experience.
  • 2-4 years working in Asset Based Lending (ABL) and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate understanding of formula borrowing bases against eligible accounts receivables and inventory.
  • Work-related experience must consist of a basic lending background, including negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of commercial business loans.
  • Knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and Bank operational policies.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Developed skills in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
