Role Overview:

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be an integral part of the Digital Mission Engineering team, focusing on the testing of ANSYS applications, including Systems Tool Kit, Orbit Determination Tool Kit, and Behavior Execution Engine.

This position plays a vital role in evaluating product performance against customer requirements, ensuring both functionality and user experience are met, while adhering to quality standards.

Additionally, the engineer will assist in developing internal tools to enhance quality processes and support development teams in executing automated testing protocols.

Collaboration with R&D team members and experts in aerospace and software architecture will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct functional, application, regression, performance, and API testing in both manual and automated environments.
  • Automate testing processes at both application and source code levels.
  • Enhance test coverage, monitor daily test outcomes, and identify root causes of failures.
  • Maintain and improve our suite of automated tests.
  • Utilize technical expertise and engineering knowledge in test design and decision-making.
  • Actively contribute as a flexible team member to ensure project success.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient programming skills in C#, Java, and/or Python.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new programming languages, platforms, and tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of software engineering practices, including CI/CD.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks like NUnit or JUnit.
  • Knowledge of cross-platform development and containerization.
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering, including SysML.
  • Insight into our software products.
