Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Corporate R&D and Industrialization teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Design innovative payment card structures and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Assist in the qualification of production runs alongside the new product and Factory Engineering teams.
  • Authorize the transition to mass production for new products.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to existing production processes.
  • Establish machine and manufacturing parameters for new production methodologies.
  • Set production standards, manufacturing capabilities, and throughput capacities for all engineering-controlled processes to facilitate planning and scheduling.
  • Utilize statistical analysis, including Cp/Cpk, to qualify new processes and product tolerances.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and corrective actions for production issues related to new products and processes.
  • Thoroughly develop and manage new processes and projects, ensuring proper documentation and consistent monitoring while providing updates to the Engineering manager and supervisor.
  • Monitor, support, and enhance production yield rates in alignment with manufacturing objectives.
  • Assist in defining industrialization strategies for new processes, products, or equipment in accordance with Company Quality Assurance standards.
  • Support Quality Assurance and customer complaint investigations as required.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, plastic, industrial, or chemical engineering, with 2-4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering setting.
  • Understanding of engineering principles, particularly in developing, qualifying, and implementing new production processes.
  • Strong time management, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret safety regulations, operational instructions, engineering drawings, and procedural manuals.
  • Proficient in writing technical reports and correspondence.
  • Capability to apply mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inferences, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Knowledge of thermal dynamics, materials science, and fluid mechanics.
  • Experience in new product development, qualification, and introduction.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 6 Sigma, QRQC).
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Pivot tables.
  • Experience with Smart Card technologies is advantageous but not required.
  • A Master's degree in an engineering field is a plus.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
