Position: Quality Inspector

Location: Exton, PA (on-site role)

Shift: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm

Compensation: $20-$23/hour (plus $1.50/hr shift differential)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials and perform in-process and final assessments as necessary.
  • Oversee the calibration of testing equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance Management to strategize and prioritize projects aligned with company goals.
  • Adhere to established departmental and laboratory protocols to complete tasks using validated methods, while proposing enhancements to procedures for increased efficiency.
  • When applicable, coordinate with suppliers and third parties to sort, rework, or resolve component issues, ensuring compliance with standards and uninterrupted production.
  • Execute inspections of electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and integrated circuits.
  • Perform mechanical inspections utilizing micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, coordinate measuring machines, and various other inspection tools.
  • Carry out in-process inspections of printed wiring assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards and harnesses to IPC-A-620 standards.
  • Conduct additional inspections including glass, paint, chemicals, STC installation kits, and printed wiring boards.
  • Finalize inspections of product data packs, ID plates, and revision levels.
  • Calibrate mechanical and electrical tools both internally and externally.
  • Manage monthly tool recall processes.
  • Input data accurately into spreadsheets and databases.
  • Build effective working relationships with Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, and other personnel across all locations, leveraging company expertise for problem-solving and product knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with military specifications and industry-standard workmanship requirements.
  • Strong communication skills in English along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in electronic packaging is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer operations within a Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of various quality control systems such as ISO9001 / AS9100, 14 CFR Part 21, SPC, TQM, etc.
  • Familiarity with J-STD-001 and IPC A-610 standards.

Salary Range: $20 - $23 / hr
