The Clinical Nurse Supervisor plays a pivotal role within the Nursing Administrative Team at our healthcare organization. Reporting directly to the Director of House Supervision, this role is responsible for overseeing clinical nurse staffing during the absence of the unit director, ensuring that staffing requirements are adequately addressed as patient numbers change throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluates, organizes, and oversees daily staffing assignments and requirements.
- Offers guidance, training, coaching, and support to nursing staff.
- Exhibits leadership qualities that inspire and develop team members.
- Implements the organization's mission, vision, and core values in daily operations.
- Maintains composure and makes informed leadership decisions during high-pressure situations.
- Incorporates evidence-based practices into operational and clinical procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Completes other tasks as assigned.
- Participates in staff meetings and committees as required.
- Upholds a professional appearance and complies with dress code policies.
Organizational Standards:
- Adheres to the organization's performance standards.
- Actively engages in Safety Behavior Tools and Tactics initiatives.
Leadership Qualities:
- Supervises nursing personnel including RNs, LPNs, and Nurse Technicians.

Qualifications:
- Educational Requirement: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Essential Skills: Proficient computer skills, effective communication in English, and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in clinical practice, with prior house supervision experience preferred.
