Nurse Care Specialist Position Overview:

Type: Per diem

Shift Options: Day shifts or Mid-day shifts, each lasting 8 hours.

As a Nurse Care Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing care for patients with diverse health conditions in various settings, including clinics, medical offices, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and educational institutions.
  • Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals and supervising LPNs, CNAs, and aides in delivering patient care.
  • Conducting patient assessments, documenting health conditions, and communicating changes to physicians.
  • Interpreting and executing physician orders for patient care.
  • Administering medications, operating medical devices, and ensuring a safe care environment.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Transitional Care Unit (TCU) settings.
  • Possession of an active RN license in Washington State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.
  • Two professional references, including charge RNs.
  • Skills in Med Line and Wound Vac management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug screenings.
