Position Title: Electromechanical Technician
The Electromechanical Technician plays a crucial role in diagnosing and resolving issues related to production and facility machinery. This position is focused on maintaining equipment efficiency, reliability, and overall effectiveness.
Safety is paramount; adherence to all health and safety protocols is essential. The technician is expected to engage in safe work practices and remain vigilant regarding potential hazards in the workplace.
Collaboration is key, as the technician will communicate equipment issues with fellow maintenance personnel and team leaders to formulate and execute corrective measures.
Responsibilities include monitoring the performance of installed systems to identify mechanical, electrical, or operational risks, which may necessitate adjustments or replacements.
Tasks involve troubleshooting various operational challenges, determining whether issues stem from mechanical, electrical, operational, or material sources.
Adjustments to machinery will be required based on changes in materials or environmental conditions.
Effective communication is vital, utilizing radios, phones, and email to report work-related challenges in line with company protocols.
Key responsibilities include:
- Replacing electric photo eyes, proximity switches, and limit switches.
- Wiring and unwiring backup 3-phase motors.
- Changing brushes in DC motors.
- Completing assigned preventive maintenance work orders.
- Identifying and installing appropriate fasteners and electrical components.
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley VFDs up to 50 hp.
- Repairing or replacing Positive Displacement Pumps.
Hard Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years in Electromechanical Maintenance.
- At least 3 years of experience in preventive maintenance within an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley VFDs up to 50 hp.
- Experience in repairing or replacing Positive Displacement Pumps.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication abilities.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
This is a contract role with a defined duration.
