Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled Non-Industry Startup Operations and Budget Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Cancer Consortium, you will play a critical role in managing non-industry clinical trial startup operations and ensuring seamless implementation of research protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Project manage non-industry startup timelines and operations from pre-startup workflow through activation, ensuring all financial, clinic implementation, and contract requirements are executed accurately and expeditiously.
- Develop comprehensive budgets and manage budget negotiations with external partners on behalf of research groups, aligning with CRS central startup standards and strategic initiatives.
- Lead clinic implementation planning, operations, and logistics with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring protocol requirements are met and institutional needs are supported.
- Manage source documentation and records throughout the startup process, adhering to CRS non-industry startup team standards and best practices.
- Report startup metrics to investigators, study teams, and CRS leadership weekly, ensuring transparency throughout the startup process.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience coordinating non-industry clinical trials or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in fast-paced environments and work effectively as an interdisciplinary team member.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and Acrobat.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work according to CRS central office standards and best practices.
