Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Assembly Team Lead to join our team at Re:Build Manufacturing in New Kensington, PA. The successful candidate will lead, mentor, and work hand-in-hand with a small team of highly skilled machinists and operators, installing and assembling various components, sub-assemblies, and hardware by following written and electronic drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of machinists and operators to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and production personnel to support and align both teams.
- Install and assemble various components, sub-assemblies, and hardware by following written and electronic drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Maintain inventory of components, hardware, and other necessary department items.
- Organize the assembly area and maintain assembly equipment and tooling.
- Contribute ideas and subject matter expertise to the continuous improvement of both the process and documentation.
- Communicate with management, team leads, operators, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality and process issues.
- Complete legibly all reports and other associated paperwork.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Associates degree in electronics, assembly, or a related field is preferred (experience is an acceptable substitute for a degree).
- 3+ years of manufacturing or industrial setting leadership experience.
- Ability to provide direction, support (hands-on), and any additional help to ensure team and success.
- Ability to read a basic drawing and work instructions.
- Demonstrates in-process inspection competence.
- Demonstrates basic mathematical skills.
- Has both mechanical and technical capacity.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Honest and timely communication.
- Self-motivation and positive attitude.
- Integrity and safety.
