Zurich Insurance Company is seeking a highly skilled Risk Engineering Consultant to join our Global Energy – Power Generation team.

This is a work-from-home role, ideally located within the Western U.S., with consideration for other locations within the U.S. The role includes a company car with expected travel up to 50% to service accounts across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide industry-leading risk assessment services for customers and business partners, focusing on property, machinery, and business interruption exposures.
  • Offer consultative services to customers, including identifying exposures with significant loss potential, investigation of cause/effect of major losses, and management programs.
  • Deliver power generation training for customers, service design and coordination, mentoring, marketing, and loss investigations.
  • Manage account risk portfolios and provide account-level engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
  • Market Zurich products in conjunction with underwriting professionals and agents across company business segments.
  • Develop and implement customer service strategies that reduce loss and improve customer operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Power Generation Risk Engineering area, or
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Power Generation Risk Engineering area, or
  • Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associate's degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Power Generation Risk Engineering area, and
  • Experience working in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Military experience in propulsion plants and power generation equipment.
  • Related energy industry experience.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of exposures controls.
  • Knowledge within industry segment.
