Air Reserve Technician Officer

This position is responsible for managing the Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP) for the wing/group, serving as the unit point of contact for the coordination and execution of the Unit Effectiveness Inspection (UEI), and integrating supporting inspection/events into unit activities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Unit Effectiveness Inspection Program, overseeing, planning, and executing the program, monitoring progress, and ensuring representative data is collected for all Major Graded Areas (MGA).
- Plan, schedule, and execute inspections and exercises, developing, planning, executing, and controlling inspections and exercises to accurately assess unit effectiveness and readiness.
- Lead, train, and manage the Wing Inspection Team (WIT), serving as WIT Chief, ensuring WIT personnel are properly selected and trained, and maintaining unit listings of WIT personnel.
- Attend meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies, and support system concepts, interfacing with NAF, MAJCOM headquarters, and other agencies on readiness and inspection issues.
- Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities, advising and providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-11) or equivalent, applying a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of critical unit plans and programs.
- Ability to plan, organize, and develop studies or projects, and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations.
- Knowledge of inspection and exercise planning, inspection criteria, deployment and employment processes, and a mastery of, and skill in applying laws and regulation to inspection and compliance work.
- Knowledge of the mission, organization, programs, and functions of the unit and a thorough understanding of their relationship to Air Force systems.
- This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer position, requiring the incumbent to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements.
- The incumbent may be required to work an uncommon tour of duty with brief advance notice, and may be required to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments (TDY).
- This position is designated as a mobility position, requiring the incumbent to be willing to move/transfer to another unit/location on a lateral or promotion basis as directed by HQ AFRC.
