Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Finance Specialist, your duties will encompass:

1. Managing daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

4. Overseeing month-end and year-end closing activities.
5. Monitoring the daily operations of the accounting department.
6. Organizing financial data into actionable insights and maintaining current records.
7. Tracking the achievement of financial and accounting goals.
8. Establishing and enforcing appropriate accounting methods, policies, and principles.
9. Preparing financial statements and analyses for monthly and annual reports.
10. Utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
2. At least 5 years of experience in accounting or a related discipline.
3. Proven track record as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant.
4. Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Familiarity with financial accounting statements and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
6. Practical experience with accounting software, such as FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
7. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Proficiency in quantitative skills and numerical aptitude.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
11. Capability to lead and supervise effectively.
