Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and financial forecasts to ensure the financial health of the warehouse and distribution operations.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights into performance and areas for improvement.
  • Track and analyze key costs related to inventory, labor, and transportation to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist with audits, ensure financial compliance with regulations, and support risk management efforts by liaising with external auditors and tax advisors.
Requirements
  • QuickBooks Expertise: Extensive experience with QuickBooks, including generating reports and managing financial data.
  • ERP & Excel Proficiency: Proficiency in QuickBooks or mid-tier ERP systems, along with advanced skills in Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic financial modeling).
  • Finance Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a small team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial colleagues and work cross-functionally.
