POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is a full-time exempt position, dedicated to supporting the Cyber Security Support Team. The Analyst serves as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the contract personnel, ensuring robust business operations and human resource management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Provide administrative assistance for Linux and Windows server environments, as well as site-specific applications.


• Oversee system administration and ensure the operational integrity of HBSS servers.


• Manage the ePO tree structure, including policy catalog management and resolution of ePO server issues (operating system, ePO, or SQL).


• Maintain the ePO server through automated tasks, task scheduling, and database maintenance activities.


• Utilize ACAS administration for the implementation and maintenance of the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), which includes Security Center, Nessus Scanner, and Nessus Network Monitor.


• Conduct automated network vulnerability assessments, configuration evaluations, and network discovery using ACAS tools.


• Apply necessary patches to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) IAVM requirements for workstations and servers.


• Uphold compliance with established policies and procedures, including DoD STIG requirements.


• Generate reports on security incidents and adapt responses as necessary.


• Stay informed about emerging technologies in the cybersecurity field.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience is required. Additional training, certifications, or relevant technical experience may substitute for formal education.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong IT background, particularly in Windows and Linux environments, along with expertise in integration and testing processes.


• Exceptional organizational, writing, and communication skills are essential.


• Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) 2.0 is necessary.


• Understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) policies, processes, and procedures is required.


• Ability to document and refine processes while meeting deadlines.


• Experience with DoD cybersecurity practices is preferred.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Server system administration is advantageous.


• Experience with Linux Operating Systems is preferred.


• Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) is desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is primarily office-based.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (may vary based on mission requirements).

Work Hours: Flexible based on mission needs.

Overtime: As required.

Travel: As required.
