Position Overview
Link Solutions is in search of a PC Support Technician to become part of our team.
Must be a US Citizen Non-remote (relocation incentive available)The PC Support Technician will provide essential computer hardware and software support to end users, ensuring the uninterrupted functionality of our IT systems.
This role offers a chance to engage in innovative projects while contributing to the safeguarding of national security.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver help desk support and information; identify the root cause of issues; provide temporary solutions when immediate resolution is not feasible. Address user inquiries and requests, offering technical assistance on PC systems, associated hardware and software, and standard applications. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support PC/server hardware and software. Execute software upgrades; configure and optimize operating systems to enhance PC performance. Set up and configure network interfaces and Internet connections. Diagnose issues related to network cables and configurations. Install and maintain specialized software, including performing setup functions. Collaborate with the local Network Enterprise Center for support coordination. Manage support tickets for users. Develop and implement a comprehensive set of standards for current and future information systems. Provide on-call support outside of standard working hours for unscheduled events or planned service interruptions.Please note that this job description is not intended to encompass all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this position.
Qualifications:
US Citizen Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance (willing to sponsor the right candidate). IAT Level I Certification (CompTIA A+ CE equivalent or higher). Training in Windows workstation systems administration. Must have and maintain CE certification in MS Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10, or Microsoft Modern Desktop.Preferred Qualifications:
Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher). Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with two (2+) years of Tech School training in an Information Technology related field. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Self-motivated individual requiring minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Additional Information:
