Post-Production Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Post-Production Engineer to join our team at NBCUniversal. As a key member of our post-production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our post-production processes and providing technical support to our engineers and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide front-line technical support for post-production operations, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all equipment used in the post-production process is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with external providers to resolve technical and workflow issues related to equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement a routine preventative maintenance program, including software and hardware updates.
- Install and configure video and audio equipment for post-production environments.
- Regulate, document, and enforce procedures related to post-production operations.
- Provide support for live production, post-production editing, graphics, EVS, Pro Tools, and screening rooms.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends, contributing to the improvement and development of existing post-production processes and infrastructure.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, providing clear explanations of issues and solutions.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in technical support of a post-production facility or operation.
- BS degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge and experience with Avid ACSR in Media Composer, Avid Interplay, and Avid Nexis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong sense of diplomacy.
- Knowledge of 4K workflows.
- Essential experience with Avid post-production environments, including Media Composer, Interplay PAM/MAM/Media Central, and Pro Tools.
- Strong hands-on problem-solving skills with broadcast-related equipment and systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with engineers, operations, IT, transmission, and other departments.
