Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Post-Production Engineer to join our team at NBCUniversal. As a key member of our post-production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our post-production processes and providing technical support to our engineers and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line technical support for post-production operations, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all equipment used in the post-production process is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
  • Collaborate with external providers to resolve technical and workflow issues related to equipment and systems.
  • Develop and implement a routine preventative maintenance program, including software and hardware updates.
  • Install and configure video and audio equipment for post-production environments.
  • Regulate, document, and enforce procedures related to post-production operations.
  • Provide support for live production, post-production editing, graphics, EVS, Pro Tools, and screening rooms.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends, contributing to the improvement and development of existing post-production processes and infrastructure.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, providing clear explanations of issues and solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in technical support of a post-production facility or operation.
  • BS degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience with Avid ACSR in Media Composer, Avid Interplay, and Avid Nexis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong sense of diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of 4K workflows.
  • Essential experience with Avid post-production environments, including Media Composer, Interplay PAM/MAM/Media Central, and Pro Tools.
  • Strong hands-on problem-solving skills with broadcast-related equipment and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with engineers, operations, IT, transmission, and other departments.
