Position Overview

Join the team at Marmic Fire & Safety Co as a Fire Safety Systems Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, servicing, and installing alarm systems and other fire safety equipment in compliance with relevant fire safety regulations. Your expertise will be utilized across various settings, including residential, industrial, and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of fire safety system services across multiple brands.
  • Perform technical assessments and testing on fire detection systems and associated devices, adhering to national and local standards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all tests performed.
  • Respond to service calls, including emergency and on-site requests, on an on-call basis.
  • Implement troubleshooting techniques and carry out minor repairs as directed.
  • Assist in the installation of new fire safety systems and wiring practices.
  • Visit the office periodically to restock your vehicle with necessary supplies.
  • Be available for evening and weekend work as required when facilities are accessible.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic knowledge of AC/DC circuitry and low voltage systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various alarm systems is advantageous.
  • NICET certification is a plus.
  • Availability for on-call duties on a weekly rotation.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Physical capability to lift and move equipment exceeding 50 lbs and work in various challenging positions.
  • Successful completion of background checks, drug screenings, and health assessments is required upon hiring and throughout employment.
