Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Toxicology Laboratory Scientist I to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting forensic toxicology testing and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain chain of custody of forensic specimens and adhere to approved sample handling procedures.
  • Ensure competency in laboratory procedures, including preparation and verification of reagents, calibration of equipment, and data review.
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment and participate in method and instrument validation studies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve high-quality results and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in continuing education activities and competency verification checks to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as chemistry or biology.
  • Minimum of one year of laboratory experience, preferably in forensic toxicology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
