POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electro-Mechanical Assembler plays a crucial role in the fabrication of high-performance underwater acoustics systems by meticulously assembling electro-mechanical systems and components in accordance with engineering specifications and schematics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform soldering on PWA components, surface mount components, cable assemblies, and connectors.
  • Execute detailed mechanical and electrical assembly tasks, including wiring, soldering, and component installation.
  • Conduct preparatory work such as wire preparation, stringing cable assemblies, and sandblasting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of one year of soldering experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • IPC-J-STD certification.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings.
  • Experience with measuring instruments, including digital indicators and microscopes.
  • Capability to work with adhesives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

Compensation: The pay range is $20-$35/hour, with various factors influencing the final offer, including the specific role, associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, location, education/training, and essential skills.
