Position Overview
The primary role of the Janitorial Services Team Member is to ensure a pristine and welcoming environment for both staff and guests. The maintenance of the retail space, restrooms, offices, parking areas, and storage facilities is essential to our daily operations and plays a significant role in delivering an experience that aligns with the Living Spaces brand.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Successfully complete all required training modules, including onboarding, safety protocols, vendor and product knowledge, and sales techniques.
  • Conduct a thorough daily inspection of the store to identify and address any cleanliness concerns.
  • Collaborate with team members, including visual merchandising and logistics, to maintain showroom standards in accordance with Living Spaces guidelines.
  • Welcome and engage with all visitors throughout the store.
  • Operate floor scrubbers and vacuums daily to maintain cleanliness of tile and carpeted areas.
  • Ensure all surfaces are dusted, wiped, and sanitized on a daily basis.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restrooms, break areas, and frequently touched surfaces.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs for all cleaning equipment.
  • Perform weekly inventory checks on cleaning supplies.
  • Foster productive relationships with external vendors, in-store personnel, and management.
  • Support a positive workplace culture that drives desired company outcomes.
  • Availability to work weekends and most holidays.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. A minimum of one year of experience in a retail custodial or janitorial position is preferred. Experience in commercial cleaning is advantageous. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, is required to perform this role effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is competitive and based on various factors, including education, relevant experience, and skills. Living Spaces reserves the right to adjust this range as necessary.

Compensation: $22.50 per hour.

Team members in Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Centers may qualify for bonuses based on performance metrics.
