Role Summary
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our Parts department. This role is essential in supporting our operations by managing parts orders, preparing quotes, and coordinating shipping and receiving tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients through effective communication via various channels.
- Provide detailed information regarding part specifications, sales orders, inventory status, and pricing.
- Conduct research on part numbers and make necessary adjustments in the system.
- Analyze ordering patterns and process customer purchase orders with urgency.
- Collect essential information and prepare quotes for customer evaluation.
- Ensure consistent communication with customers throughout the order lifecycle, including quoting, order entry, acknowledgment, and delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address parts needs and maintain timely communication with purchasing departments.
- Assist in inventory management and cycle counts.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in material handling or a related field, preferably within an industrial or distribution environment.
- A background in manufacturing or industrial supply chain.
- Extensive experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in parts research and inventory inquiries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Infor ERP LN or similar.
- Ability to process a high volume of purchase orders efficiently.
- A desire for career advancement in a dynamic supply chain setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of air compressors or HVAC components.
- Familiarity with the air compressor industry.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and decision-making capabilities.
