Job Overview

The Automation Lead will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our automated warehouse. This includes assisting and facilitating case-picking and sorting activities, monitoring upcoming orders, and guiding teammates to ensure smooth operations.

This role will also provide performance-based feedback, direction of work, and guidance to the assigned team. Additionally, the Automation Lead will assist in interviewing potential candidates and support specific areas of responsibility as designated by the Warehouse Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of package dimensions, descriptions, and SKU numbers, as well as the ability to operate VPS Vertique Picking and loading software with a high degree of competence.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate VPS Vertique Picking and loading software within the automation environment
  • Maintain proper function of certain machines using advanced problem-solving skills
  • Direct work on the floor to ensure efficient operations
  • Participate in regular housekeeping duties within the machines and warehouse
  • Assist in interviewing potential candidates
Requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while walking and repetitively lifting 30-75 lbs
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
