About the Role

The Mn Prevention and Recovery Alliance is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join our team. As a MnPRA CPRS, you will play a vital role in delivering peer recovery support services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Peer Recovery Support Services
    • Host individual meetings with clients to provide education, advocacy, mentorship, and support for recovery.
    • Partner with clients' care teams to provide additional, intentional, 1:1 recovery support.
  • Documentation and Billing
    • Complete documentation related to services provided, ensuring accurate and timely submission of hours for billing.
    • Develop a Recovery Wellness Plan (RWP) upon initial meeting with a client, ensuring ongoing visibility of RWP with client's care team.
  • Supervision and Professional Development
    • Participate in weekly supervision meetings or equivalent to maintain professional growth and development.

Requirements

  • Credentials and Experience
    • Hold a Peer Recovery Specialist credential through the Minnesota Certification Board.
    • Personal experience with successful recovery for a minimum of two years prior to date of hire.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent in-person communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to model appropriate boundaries and a lifestyle that reflects MnTC's culture of honor.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to hold a valid driver's license and transport clients.
